Prospective Puppy Buyers
At AMA we love finding our babies their forever homes. We ask that you complete an application, and submit the non-refundable deposit. (Deposits go towards the puppy fee, and can only be refunded in the rare event of puppy death before adoption or congenital disease or deformity.

​We will NEVER ask for a deposit for a puppy that you have not seen yourself or has not been birthed. I prefer all adopters to place deposits after seeing the loves in real time.

We have no guarantee for eye color of our pups, eye color typically takes 9-12 weeks to determine if the color at birth will stay.

We ask that all prospective families meet the pups in person, so that you can observe demeanors, behaviors and see if they will be the right fit for your family.

Remember, they are forever family members! Mini Aussies (or AKC recognized as American Shepherds) are a high energy dog. They thrive with a task, enrichment and lots of energy exerting fun. Our adults live for chasing a ball, herding our chickens, and our Cheyenne and Dutton took on the role as a mouser in our coop!

How much does a puppy cost?
Price for a pet puppy is $1,000 for a male, $1,500 for a female.
The deposit to hold a puppy is $500. It can be paid by Zelle, cashiers check, or cash. We will not begin taking deposits until puppies are born and potential adopters have a puppy to select. I choose families by first come first served, while also meeting adopters and ensuring a good fit! Along with the deposit, a puppy agreement form must be completed and emailed. All deposits are non-refundable. Once it is time to go to their new home, final payment is due, along with the signed purchase agreement.
What vaccinations do you give?
Puppies are wormed at 2, 4, and 6 weeks. I give their first set of shots at 7 weeks. It is called the "Puppy Shot". DAPP+CV. If a puppy is here longer, then they will be vaccinated accordingly.
All puppies leave here current on vaccinations and de-wormings. As well their first vet exam notes and docked tails. ALL PUPPIES WILL HAVE THEIR TAILS DOCKED, THEY WOULD NEED TO BE RESERVED AND PAID IN FULL BEFORE DAY 4 OF BIRTH IF YOU WISH THE TAILS TO BE INTACT.
Who are your dogs registered with, and do I get registration papers? My puppies come with American Stock Dog Registration in the breed name Miniature Australian Shepherd. They will come with ASDR registration papers so that you may register the new pup with your chosen name, and their parents are already in the ASDR registry.

Are your puppies potty trained and crate trained?
When puppies are between 2-3 weeks old, I start to lead to puppy pads and the door. By the time they leave here at 8 weeks, they will have the initial training established to go outdoors for potty breaks.
I do not crate train puppies. I will at times put a small crate in their pen for them to go in and out of, but if they
leave here at 8 weeks, they are not trained to be in a crate.
